Zahedi dates are dried dates. In some areas, it is semi-arid. It has been named as a siege in some parts of the country. In many parts of the country, especially in Khuzestan, Fars, Bushehr and Kermanshah Province, it is cultivated on a large scale. The most important expansion area in Bushehr is Poshtkuh.
Zahedi dates fruit in the yellow colored rosacea stage, at a bright brown rhubarb stage, and in the stage of growing (dates) (red brown to yellowish), Zahedi Yazdhi means abundant and inexpensive in Arabic. In Iraq, the cultivars Major and export is considered.
Zahedi dates are elliptical and the ends are quite thin and sharp. It is a very good cultivator and has good storage facilities and is very easy to transport and export. Due to the high sugar content of industrial cultivars, Zahedi is used to produce alcohol, vinegar.
The ratio of Zahedi dates meat to the core is 6.35. Zahedi dates palm, oval, brown color, kernel adhesion to moderate fruit and rosacea reaches early September, but full harvest is taking place in late September. The adhesion of the warhead to the fruit is moderate. This date is planted in almost all of the provinces. A Zahedi date is classified as dry dates, and is a late fruit and the amount of loss is high.
